World Food Day

Do you ever take a late lunch or miss a meal all together?  Does it make you a grouch or ruin your concentration?  Imagine that feeling for an entire day, week or longer.  Imagine not having food to feed your child.  It’s heartbreaking but it happens everyday.

According to bread.org everyday almost 16,000 children die from hunger-related causes. That’s one child every five seconds.  That’s about 290 school busses full of kids.  It is an overwhelming number.

Sunday is World Food Day.  It is a day to bring attention to the hunger crisis around the world.  It reminds us to be thankful for what we have and hopefully inspires us to help those that need it most.
