One day without shoes

Today is “one day without shoes day.” A day to raise awareness of the impact a pair of shoes can have on a child life by taking off our own shoes.

Toms shoes has been making a huge impact on shoe giving. For every pair you purchase, TOMS will give a pair of NEW shoes to a child in need. One for One.  Click here to see a Toms video on a day without shoes.

Meet Isabel a 12 year old philanthropist who founded “shoes for kids.” She shares how a trip to Kenya with her family changed her life and she wanted to give back to children in third world countries who needed shoes.  If you live in the Pacific NW her making happy feet site has drop off locations to donate shoes.

So take off your shoes and walk barefoot today, thousands and thousands of children and adults do this daily as they have no choice as they have no shoes.

  1. 🙂 I have that picture blown up to 11×14 and hanging in my living room! So happy to see you using it again. Use it as often as you want and keep sharing it with others!

  2. Your photos have been amazing and thank you for allowing us to share with our donors and friends of EOR. I will never ever ever forget your words about these particular shoes. Thanks again Ingird!
