Always Thankful

The month of November is one we often set aside for giving thanks and thinking about those things we are thankful for.  It’s important to do this exercise because so often life gets busy and we often forget about what we should give thanks for.  There are many things I am thankful for.  This list includes the obvious, health, husband, shelter, food, etc.  What I am most thankful for is adoption.  Without it,   I would not be a parent.  Nor would I have been blessed with the most amazing children in the world.  Children who add so much to our lives and have made us a complete family.  We brought our first child home over 3 years ago and our youngest just celebrated her 2nd birthday.  I can hardly believe how fast it has gone.

I never forget the suffering that is inherent in adoption and I hope that our children’s birthfamilies know how well cared for they are.

I am thankful that I have been blessed with meeting and working with the amazing women on this board.  I am thankful for every breath I watch my kids take and for each opportunity I have to share with others my love and passion for giving back to Ethiopia.

What are you thankful for?
